It’s a fact that a company is only as good as its people. In this series we will go behind the scenes at Digital Pacific and speak to some of the people that make us who we are. We hire people that are smart, outgoing, determined and most importantly customer focused. These people are responsible for the astounding customer service culture we have maintained over the last 15 years.
Today we are meeting Jo who works in our Technical Operations Team. His primary role is to be the point of escalation to our level 1 and level 2 service desk staff for complex issues across our entire service portfolio. His team is also responsible for the day-to-day operation of our dedicated server, cloud hosting and VPS services including quality assurance and service availability.
Meet Jo – Technical Operations
I started with Digital Pacific in 2013 in Level 1 Technical Support. One of the first things that was immediately clear was the amazing work culture and technical ability of everyone I was working with. The work environment is extremely supportive and open.
My experience with web hosting and servers was minimal when I first started. Through the training provided by Digital Pacific I moved through the service desk to my current position in under 2 years to become a Sysadmin in our Technical Operations team. Along the way I’ve had the opportunity to work in many different roles and departments including Accounts, Sales, Hardware Provisioning, Networking and now Operations.
These days I work at the cutting edge of technology; implementing and using the latest tools and concepts of System Administration and DevOps. I get to learn something new every day and I am constantly challenged to become better at my job.
