Welcome one and all to another Round the Office Roundup!
There has been quite a bit happening around here lately. First up, if you’re an Instagram user, make sure to follow our brand new account: digitalpacificwebhosting
We’ll be posting plenty of snapshots of what goes on behind closed doors here including surprise puppy visits, social events and a bit of the day-to-day goings-on in our office and state-of-the-art data centre.
This week, a new face emerged as Danielle joined our accounting department. She will be helping to manage day-to-day accounting functions as well as supporting our CFO & CEO. The very warmest of welcomes to you, Danielle!
Last Friday, yours-truly lined up outside the Apple store to purchase a brand new iPhone 7. This majestic little piece of technology that now sits upon my desk will be given away to one of our lucky customers at the conclusion of our upcoming Annual Customer Service Survey!
All you have to do to win is keep an eye out for the email that will soon be hitting your inbox, inviting you to participate in a short survey. It should take no longer than 7 minutes to complete. All feedback received will be read by our management team and used to further improve our product and service offerings.
We also recently had a visit from Teddy the beagle (whose Dad, Cameron, some of you may know from our Billing team!) and admittedly (and very understandably) staff productivity took a staggering dive for a few minutes there.
I set the challenge to the crew to try and take an in-focus photo of Teddy’s face and considering his movements resemble something of a 1960’s tumble dryer, this is no easy feat. Some of them got a little confused by the task, but others got fairly close.
Meanwhile, our Dev team have suffered a recent loss with their meeting table being hijacked for (the arguably more noble use of) hosting our team lunches. As they are such an innovative group, they have taken the opportunity to apply a little Feng Shui to their work space. So far, they’ve adapted quite well to their new squalor-chic habitat.
In case you are concerned for their posture and general well-being, the table will (sooner or later) probably be returned. But they’re fine. Really.
Until next time, that’s it from us! Wishing you all a great weekend ahead.
