It’s time again for another Round the Office Roundup! This series will give you a sneak peek into the world of what’s going on at Digital Pacific. So, what’s been happening?
The weeks feel like they are flying by as we get closer to Spring, and with the changing of the seasons, another big change happened here too!
Last week, our L3 and L4 SysAdmins and Engineers began deploying and testing increased memory limits across all Business shared hosting plans! Since our upgrade to Litespeed, we have had a bit of memory going spare, so what better use for it than to give it back to our customers?
We are now happy to announce that instead of 512MB, all Business shared hosting customers are now enjoying 1GB of memory. We performed the increase in two stages, first monitoring the performance of our network with a limit of 768MB in place before finally increasing all the way up to 1GB.
This increase should greatly assist customers using memory-hungry CMS systems such as WordPress and Joomla.
Now that the nonsense is out of the way, on to the important stuff.
The staff lunch last week was delicious Thai! It also conveniently coincided with International Beer Day. In celebration, Billing Manager Cameron purchased as many varieties of International Beer as possible to have delivered to the office in time for Friday evening drinks.
And here they are, after a hard day’s work, enjoying International Beer Day in proper form. From left to right we have Paul, David, Lee, Miguel, Shaun, Alex, Warren, Ross, Ash, Seb and James.
That’s it for this edition. Have a great week everybody!
